Second Wave of COVID-19
To: All Members
From: Carroll Bonello, Co-ordinator
Date: Friday, November 13, 2020
As Covid-19 cases in the Toronto area continue to rise, the need to strengthen COVID-19 precautions for the Co-op are necessary. With stricter restrictions put into place by the City of Toronto, starting on Saturday, November 14th for 28 days, it is essential that staff work as they did when the outbreak first started, implementing preventative measures to ensure risk reduction in the Co-op.
Reducing staff’s exposure to possible infection from the virus travelling back and forth from the Co-op, the following measures will be put into place effective Monday, Nov.15, 2020:
The office will be closed to members so I will not be able to meet with you, in person.
To contact me please use get in touch via phone, or email. Documents can be dropped off in the mailbox. If you need to use the copier, please call ahead before coming down.
Staff travelling into the Co-op will reduce days in during the week.
Praba will now be here on Monday, Wednesday & Friday from 8:30 a.m.– 4:30 p.m.
Praba’s job will be to continue disinfecting and cleaning the building.
I will be here on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, also working remotely from home.
Dave will ensure that disinfecting the building continues in Praba’s absence and that garbage pick-up continues each week.
Regular work order repairs in your unit will be suspended.
Dave will be addressing building emergencies only at this time.
If you experience a building emergency, you will continue to call the cell number.
The Alternates will continue disinfecting when they are on call and will carry the cell phone on alternate weekends regarding building emergencies.
If you have an emergency – any life-threatening events, fire or health – call 911.
Please ensure you maintain all Covid-19 protocols, wearing a mask, maintaining physical distancing, washing hands, and going out for essential trips only. We want to ensure everyone remains healthy during this time. Hopefully this second wave will be short lived.
